Hi, I’m Jim Posch.

I was appointed to Cleveland Heights City Council in May 2024. Cleveland Heights has been my home since 1981. I’m proud that this city has become a part of my identity as our culture, homes, people and public spaces are unmatched.

I am married to Joyce Braverman, a Cleveland Heights native, and we have two daughters, Ellen and Michelle, all graduates of Heights High. I quickly learned how unique our school system is, so I got involved in passing school levies, serving as PTA President, and serving on the CHUH School Board.

In my free time, I enjoy traveling, skiing, reading, spending time with my family and working on home improvement projects. Since I love to read, I’m a big advocate of our city’s library program. From 2003-2006 I served on the Cleveland Heights Library Board.

Professionally, I am a tech entrepreneur. I’ve established and sold many businesses over the past 40 years. One of my core values is to leave everything better than how I found it. My experiences have shaped me into being a collaborator and contributor.  Building teams, motivating teams, and being part of a team is how success happens.
